You will reap the benefits of massage if it becomes a regular part of your life. My goal is for us to work together to take better care of your health, long-term.
Communication is key. I need to know what you're feeling, experiencing and what you're looking to gain in order to best help you. In turn, I will explain the treatment and what you can expect to gain from it.
Massage is a tool to help heal. Whether it's stress, illness or simply to relax, the benefits of massage can be life changing. I would be honored to take that journey with you.
Normally done in the therapist’s office, it can also be performed at the client’s home.
Swedish Massage: A firm, but slow and gentle type of bodywork which helps the body and mind slow down, rest, and chill out. Psychologically It assists the body in transitioning from sympathetic (fight or flight) mode to parasymphathetic (rest and digest) mode.
Sports massage: Any technique used during a sports massage session has one focus – performance enhancement. We want to help the athlete be faster, stronger, more coordinated, and more focused. There are two ways to use sports massage:
o Event sports massage: Done in the open at the actual location of an athletic endeavor. Techniques here are brisk and brief. They can be used to help athletes warm up and prepare, or they can help recover after their event.
o Maintenance sports massage: Done at the therapist’s office. Here specific deep tissue techniques are used for more permanent results.
The name deep tissue massage is an over-arching term for a collection of techniques that address long-standing issues of pain, weakness, limited range of motion, and quality of life.
Techniques may include, but are not limited to:
o Neuromuscular Therapy
o Myofascial Therapy
o Pin and stretch techniques
o Cross fiber friction
o Sports massage
A specially designed portable massage chair is used to provide brief upper body massages. Sessions generally last 5-20 minutes.
These massages are usually done in one of two locations:
Events: Fairs, farmers markets, fundraisers, expos, concerts, or anywhere people have gathered.
Workplace: Usually in an office setting, where employees can take a quick break and get refreshed and refocused.
Payment may be made in cash, check, or credit/debit card
