Building Relationships

Communication is key. I need to know what you're feeling, experiencing and what you're looking to gain in order to best help you. In turn, I will explain the treatment and what you can expect to gain from it.

Helping You Feel Better

Massage is a tool to help heal. Whether it's stress, illness or simply to relax, the benefits of massage can be life changing. I would be honored to take that journey with you.

Treatments

Table Massage

Normally done in the therapist’s office, it can also be performed at the client’s home.

Swedish Massage: A firm, but slow and gentle type of bodywork which helps the body and mind slow down, rest, and chill out. Psychologically It assists the body in transitioning from sympathetic (fight or flight) mode to parasymphathetic (rest and digest) mode.

Sports massage: Any technique used during a sports massage session has one focus – performance enhancement. We want to help the athlete be faster, stronger, more coordinated, and more focused. There are two ways to use sports massage:

o Event sports massage: Done in the open at the actual location of an athletic endeavor. Techniques here are brisk and brief. They can be used to help athletes warm up and prepare, or they can help recover after their event.

o Maintenance sports massage: Done at the therapist’s office. Here specific deep tissue techniques are used for more permanent results.

Deep Tissue

The name deep tissue massage is an over-arching term for a collection of techniques that address long-standing issues of pain, weakness, limited range of motion, and quality of life.

Techniques may include, but are not limited to:

o Neuromuscular Therapy

o Myofascial Therapy

o Pin and stretch techniques

o Cross fiber friction

o Sports massage

Chair Massage (On-Site)

A specially designed portable massage chair is used to provide brief upper body massages. Sessions generally last 5-20 minutes.

These massages are usually done in one of two locations:

Events: Fairs, farmers markets, fundraisers, expos, concerts, or anywhere people have gathered.

Workplace: Usually in an office setting, where employees can take a quick break and get refreshed and refocused.

Can children receive a massage? Yes. Any child under the age of 18 may receive massage therapy IF accompanied by an adult family member who remains in the room during the massage.

Are package discounts available? Yes. If six or more massage sessions are purchased at once a 10% discount is applied.

Is there an extra charge for home visits? Yes. If the destination is within a reasonable distance (meaning most locations in Concord) there is a $25 surcharge. Longer distances will need to be negotiated.

Can I have someone in the room with me during the massage? Yes. Guests are welcome to be in the room and observe/visit during the massage.

Can I talk or ask questions during the massage? Yes. Generally speaking most clients like to have it quiet, but questions about your massage during the session are fine.

Is medical or personal information divulged by me to the therapist held in confidence? Absolutely. Advanced Massage Therapies abides by all HIPPA information privacy guidelines. You must sign a written release form indicating a specific recipient before any information can be divulged.
